Clarinet Tutoring

The clarinet was invented in the 1690s and is a “single-reed woodwind instrument with a cylindrical tube.” This might not be the very first time you want to pick up an instrument, but even if you are private clarinet tutors will be able to help you on your journey. Often though, students start with the clarinet at a young age. In their music class, they learn the basics of reading music and finger placement, then from there, they go on to bigger instruments. If you are picking up an instrument for the first time then this might be daunting. The way in which you put the clarinet together is enough to scare most away. The five pieces are all very delicate and they can be broken easily.

When I was in clarinet class, I remember we spent an entire class just learning how to assemble the instrument. It took me even longer to figure out how to properly put the reed on. I can recall my professor having me stay later so that I could constantly go over putting my reed on the instrument. When I had a better understanding of how that was done, I suddenly had a stronger connection to the woodwind instrument. After that, it was mouth placement. The delicacy of the instrument does not only go with how you put it together but it also goes with the way that you blow into it. From an outsiders perspective, you might think that you just blow your hardest into it. But that is not the way that it works at all.

You have to position your mouth in the right way to get the smoothest tune possible. That is literally only the beginning because then you have to figure out how to place your fingers to get the right sound. This might sound easy, but it is not the case. Sometimes you have to alter the way that you blow into the instrument so that you can get the right note. But before you do all of that you need to know the notes you are playing and how to play that on your instrument. If you have a brain fart then that is what it will sound like when you blow into your instrument. Each and every time that you get behind your instrument you have to be hyperfocused.

One slip up will really have you messing up the sound of the entire band. So to eliminate these issues you need “clarinet tutors near me.” They will take notes with you and make sure that you are actually learning as much as you possibly can with the instrument. If you do not spend time with your instrument you are not going to be spending any time in the band. Music is a cut-throat industry where only the strong industry and the way to get strong is to actually work hard. At Premier Tutoring we put an emphasis on quality tutors and not the quantity Having said that we have a large pool of exquisite tutors who can present the information to you in a way that is personable and understandable.

Who we hire?

At Premier Tutoring, we personalize the lessons. This means that based on what you are struggling to understand our tutors will cover it in your sessions. So if you are having issues with reading the music, we will get you matched with a music composition tutor who specializes in playing the clarinet. You might be thinking that this type of individual is hard to find, but that is insignificant. We have already found several individuals in your area that fit this description and can turn you into a better musician. “Clarinet tutoring near me” will have you playing at a Kenny G level.

We cannot guarantee that you will play that way, but we know that if you work hard you will absolutely progress. Your tutor is going to make sure that you have a set schedule that you can follow. It is up to you if you actually follow this schedule. All great musicians spend an insurmountable amount of time with their instruments. They do not just hop on stage and start performing, it takes years of practice to reach a level of comfort like the greats. One of our tutors is currently a studio musician, which means you might have heard some of their work without even knowing it. But they got this job after auditioning for several years. They were told “no” time and time again.

Thinking that clarinet playing was not something that they were destined to do, but they stuck with it. Working as a music tutor was a great way for them to keep with their skill while also giving back. When you are able to actually teach what you are trying to do, then you are going to be much better at that particular skill. Now, this professional musician works as a tutor just to give back to the music community. She believes in paying her dues and doing what is necessary to help train the next generation of great musicians. She wants to leave a legacy behind that goes beyond what she can do in the booth.

This is just one of our several tutors who work extraordinarily hard just for you. Our tutors are not in this for the money, they are there to help you become a better musician. This is what separates Premier Tutoring from the rest of the pack. We go above and beyond to make sure that you have the service that you need to excel. If you are serious about becoming a musician then you need private clarinet tutoring experience.

Do your homework and look into the greats. Each one of them had private lessons with someone who knew better than them. This is how they got better and pushed themselves. Call us up right now to get that little extra push toward a brighter future. You will be shouting at the top of your lungs when you start playing your favorite songs on the clarinet.
